I'm a children's book illustrator and surface pattern designer creating design for young kids. I live in a white house with turquoise window frames, on an island in Norway.
I'm inspired by the graphic shapes of Scandinavian minimalism mixed with Japanese cuteness. Whenever someone tells me my illustrations make them smile I do a little happy dance inside!
I like: getting hugs from my little boy, taking photos of colors, reading, flower pots with faces, freckles, running in nature, wearing dresses, traveling.
Contact me if you're interested in working together or licensing any of my designs. I'll be happy to hear from you!
For over 15 years I have been lucky to work with clients all over the world:
Cappelen Damm, Aschehoug, Egmont, Highlights, Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, TV2, SOS Children's Villages, Little Tiger Press, Creative Teaching Press, YoYo Books, Fortellerforlaget

"Anette is a very bright and professional artist. I enjoyed working with her, and her art reminded me of my happy childhood. All of her artwork was bright, warm, and happy. As a client, I appreciated her great insight. She has a very special talent for retelling stories with her own unique style and taste in drawing. She is an IT artist I can enthusiastically recommend working with!"
